Josh Groban was just in Toronto the second week of September singing at former U.S. President Bill Clinton's 60th birthday celebrations, which doubled as an AIDSfundraiser, at the Royal York Hotel.

Groban actually opened the night with his mega-hit, You Raise Me Up.

"I had a great time doing that -- man, that was fun," Groban told the Sun. "I'd never met him before and was so excited that he personally asked, 'cause I'm a big fan of his. And I think that it was just a great musical night. ...And he gave a tremendous speech. So it was cool."

Groban also dueted with Sarah McLachlan on her hit, Angel, and other performers included James Taylor and Tim McGraw.

Groban even got to have an audience with the entire Clinton clan.

"I met with him beforehand," he said. "And got to take some pictures with him and then after I performed he had me come to his table and talk to him for a minute.

"Hillary I had met before and she was very, very nice, and Chelsea I had never met. She's so cool. We've got the same birthday (Feb. 27) but just a year apart. I was '81, she was '80.

"And so I invited her to my show in New York. Hopefully she'll come. I'll be doing two concerts at Madison Square Garden."
