The premiere Hollywood Tribute Event honoring Josh Groban was filled with laughter, music, fine food and humble gratitude. The event was hosted by the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) Alumni Association. Talent of LACHSA alumni was showcased from beginning to end. Invitations featured artwork by award winning alumni artist Sonia Romero, spectacular performances by jazz musician Katisse Buckingham and the band Gwendolyn gave prelude to the much anticipated performance of Josh Groban (also an alumnus of LACHSA). A first class event, gift bags featured CDs and DVDs of alumni music, performances, artwork, products and more.
At the VIP reception guests mingled and enjoyed banana or chocolate raspberry martinis provided event sponsor Hamptons Vodka and Gin prior to a gourmet meal of filet mignon and Chilean sea bass, wrapping up the meal with a divine flowerless chocolate cake.
Attendees included alumni, corporate supporters, honorees and their families, as well as fans of Josh Groban. Celine Dion provided a special congratulations and Gayle King, Editor-in-Chief of O Magazine provided a special message for Josh Groban.
Other honorees included community supporter Warner Bros. and the Alumni Association’s 2006 Outstanding Educators Jerry Freedman and Ka-Ron Lehman Brown for their continued service and dedication to LACHSA and arts education. A crystal award etched with the LACHSA name and logo were presented to each honoree.
